With the installation of lighting, cabinets, sink and countertops, our new Resident Raptor Care Facility (replacing the small, leaky structure formerly known as The Tackroom) is now complete! This building is where all the food preparation, health exams and other evaluations and procedures are performed daily for our 21 resident birds, the stars of our extensive Community Education and Outreach programs which reach thousands of local children and adults each year.
Most of the labor for the demolition of the old building and construction of the new has been donated, with several individuals and local businesses stepping up with financial and material donations (see below).
