RED-TAILED HAWK
This one-eyed beauty was admitted in 2005 with a severely damaged eye that required removal. Unfortunately, this led to his inability to hunt properly in the wild, so Phoenix joined our Resident Ambassador team and has been educating the public about his species ever since. Phoenix enjoys long walks in the sun, rousing on the fist, and of course, teaching our new resident raptor handlers the ropes!
