RED-TAILED HAWK
Star is one of our 3 resident Red-tailed Hawks, and as her name suggests, she loves being the center of attention! Like Poppy, Star was also admitted as an imprinted juvenile in 2006. Star loves getting out on the fist and showing off her beautiful plumage to her adoring fans at educational events. She is one of our only residents (other than our Great Horned Owls) who has laid an egg while in our care - it’s on display in our museum!
